Sick days

Noah stayed home sick a few days a couple weeks ago - he came home with a 102.5 fever. Dr. David said he also had an ear infection. Had a couple up-and-down days, where he was in a pretty good mood for a few hours, then he started getting really quiet and just sat right next to me, staring at me but not really looking at anything. He looked so pitiful and sad . . . think we both felt awful!

Getting out all the movies on the first day home

He would have been OK to go back to daycare Friday, but Carol called Thursday night to ask how Noah was feeling and said at least six of the eight kids had gone home sick by Thursday. Decided Noah would just call it a week!

Aunt Kelly had Thursday off, so she stayed with Noah that day, and Grandma Pat had Abe Lincoln's birthday off and stayed with Noah then. She brought along the boots/slippers Papa found for Noah. He loves them! "Papa buy mine soos!" Yep, Papa bought you new shoes.

Had a great weekend - Kristi came to spend the night Friday night! Didn't do too much the rest of the weekend, which is nice sometimes! Noah's talking up a storm lately - love hearing about the things in his head. The last couple nights he's been giggling so hard about "teve" and "puppy." It took me several minutes to figure out he was talking about Dave's uncle, Steve, who pretends to be a puppy for the little kids. All you have to say is "Steve," and Noah's off and laughing so hard you have to stop, so he can catch a breath!

Please disregard the peanut butter on Noah's face; he'd just finished a "peabup pop" (peanut butter pop).

If he's standing on a pile of blankets in his crib, Noah can reach one of the letters on his wall. Naturally, I couldn't get a picture of him actually touching the H, but you get the idea! He's getting to be such a tall boy!

Just a few pics

Noah's a multi-tasker - he's "weeping," drilling and cooking all at once

So cheesy

Doesn't Noah look like a little boy? Where did Baby Noah go?!

Jaime - this is the artichoke candle I bought when we came to visit you in DC a few years ago. I finally lit it last week!

The "Weeper"

Noah has had a ball pretending to vacuum lately. He still wants to be carried around when I'm using the vacuum, but he likes playing with them when they're off. So I decided he needed one of his very own.

We hit Target Friday night and found the perfect (read: the only) toy vacuum they had. It's now Noah's! And he loves it! He asks about "weeping" when he wakes up in the morning and wants to "weep" as soon as he gets home from daycare. So glad he's having so much fun with it! We spend so much time "weeping," you'd be surprised at how dirty the living room floor is! Just reminds me I need to get out the real "weeper" one of these days.

His is two-tone pink and white and has a dust-buster built in. The batteries are in the dust-buster, but it looks like they could also go in the other part of the vacuum. I'm scared to put them in the other part, too - not sure I can handle all that noise . . . I mean, excitement!

So fresh and clean

Noah and I have stayed home the past couple days because he has pink eye. Seems to be going around daycare, as two other kids had gone home with it earlier the day Noah developed it. He's doing pretty well with the eye drops - it was so easy yesterday but not so easy today! Just four more days!

But we had such a wonderful evening tonight - had dinner, played for a while, watched "Wonder Pets" on Nick Jr and had a bath. I love bath nights! Noah has such a good time in the tub, and I love it when he's so fresh and clean!
